Sales Coordinator
Job Title: Sales Coordinator
Reports to: Support Services Manager

Seniority: Junior-Intermediate (0-3 years)

Location: Kelowna, BC

Reporting to the Support Services Manager, the Sales Coordinator role is a junior to intermediate role that drives sales by preparing quotes, processing orders, and providing support to customers and outside sales representatives. Additional duties may include assisting Engineering and Logistics departments when needed.

Responsibilities:
• Create and send quotations to current and potential customers
• Develop and maintain rapport and relationships with current and potential customers
• Work with the Sales team members to provide excellent customer service, including timely responses, accurate quotes, and reliable information on products.
• Work as a liaison between the Sales Team and the Engineering department
• Process, monitor, and follow up on customer quotes and purchase orders
• Handle other duties and assignments as requested, including but not limited to:
    • Review the status of quotations weekly
    • Work with engineering to obtain information and process quotes in a timely manner
    • Assist in creating engineering drawings as and when required
    • Follow up on sales orders (delivery dates, timing)
    • Participate in new product reviews, customer requests, etc. during engineering meetings


Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred, or a Diploma in Engineering Technology will be considered
• Previous inside sales experience, ideally in the mining or civil construction industries is an asset
• Self-motivated, able to work in a dynamic work environment, team player with a positive attitude
• Well organized with the ability to set priorities and schedules and coordinate multiple projects
• Ability to read and interpret relevant documents such as product specifications, technical and procedure manuals, etc.
• Experience with SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP in an asset
• Excellent phone manner and easily able to build rapport
• Good oral and written communications skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to speak a second language is an asset
• Background or experience in website design and marketing is an asset

Mechanical Engineering Technologist/Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Technologist/Engineer

Reports to: Engineering Manager

Department/Team: Engineering


Position Purpose:

Provide drawings for estimating and production of Unicast products.

Key Functions (Main aspects of position)

  • Prepare drawings of products from sketches and conversations with customers
  • Consult with sales representative to ensure draft model is accurate with respect to design and drafting standards
  • Participate in identifying new product development opportunities
  • Develop manufacturing and drawing standards required to meet customers' needs
  • Assist in quality control inspections and processes
  • Provide technical support
  • Conduct failure analysis and prepare reports
  • Handle other duties and assignments as requested
  • Familiarity with QC inspection would be an asset


Requirements for Competency (Education, Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • Diploma in mechanical engineering technology or degree in mechanical engineering
  • At least 2-5 years of related engineering technology experience including design and development
  • Previous experience with quality control concepts and systems
  • Ability to conduct materials research
  • Ability to read and interpret relevant documents such as product specifications, technical and procedure manuals, etc.
  • Experience with Solid Works software and 3D software
  • Self-motivated
  • Well-organized with the ability to set priorities and schedules and multitask
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel

Technical Sales Representative

Job Title: Technical Sales Representative

Reports to: President

Department/Team: Sales


Position Purpose:

Increase sales by selling to existing customers, gaining new customers, and building awareness of Unicast in target industries.

Key Functions (Main aspects of position)

  • Develop and maintain rapport and relationships with current and potential customers
  • Provide excellent customer service including timely responses, accurate quotes, reliable information on products, and regular contact
  • Execute sales programs and strategies to increase sales
  • Efficiently manage territory, schedule and travel to meet objectives
  • Collect customer and market intelligence to enhance sales ability
  • Participate in sales planning meetings with sales team
  • Report monthly on sales targets and achievements
  • Produce field sketches of products from onsite measurement and conversations with customers
  • Inspect materials and hardness of materials in the field
  • Provide technical support as required
  • Handle other duties and assignments as requested


Requirements for Competency (Education, Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)

  • College degree in engineering technology or equivalent job experience
  • At least 4 years of outside sales experience ideally in the industrial, mining, aggregate, or civil construction industries
  • Familiarity with engineering concepts, practices, and procedures
  • Ability to read and interpret relevant documents such as product specifications, technical and procedure manuals, etc.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office software
  • Strong presence and credibility
  • Strong oral and written communications skills including listening, negotiation, and selling skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends
  • Ability to travel extensively including cross-border and potentially international
  • Excellent character, self-motivated and drive for results
  • Well-organized with the ability to set priorities and schedules and multitask
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
